Our Members’ Event and pre-dinner drinks night is on Thursday 4th July 2019 at 6:00 pm at the Kelvin Club (14-20 Melbourne Place just off Russell Street). This month we are pleased to welcome two guest speakers: Scott McElroy and Kim Davey from hockingstuart Melbourne. Our guests will provide a market update on properties in the inner-city and they will discuss the trends in apartment sales from buyer and seller perspective. They will also talk about leasing apartments in the city. So if you would like to find out more about the current state of the property market in our city, this is an event not to miss.
Scott McElroy, Director hockingstuart Melbourne
Starting his real estate career in beautiful Noosa Heads as an 18 year old straight out of school, Scott quickly progressed from property management to sales before venturing into commercial real estate on the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
He moved to Melbourne in 1989 and two years later joined hockingstuart, setting up the commercial division. Scott was heavily involved in the early days of Melbourne’s apartment boom before opening the hockingstuart Carlton office in 1997 and subsequently the Brunswick and Northcote offices, helping hockingstuart establish a strong foothold in the inner-north suburbs. Scott is now a director at Albert Park, Melbourne and Carlton offices.
Kim Davey, Partner hockingstuart, Licenced Real Estate Agent
Alongside Scott McElroy, Kim Davey helped establish the highly successful Melbourne and Carlton offices of hockingstuart. Responsible for the smooth operation of the Property Management team, Kim’s qualities epitomise those that make the agency such a powerful force in Melbourne real estate: he’s honest, focused and incredibly hard working.
The city and inner north have changed dramatically, from businesses and workers cottages to a modern, multi-purpose mecca. Its unique real estate market must be constantly reevaluated, and Kim is always one step ahead of the prevailing conditions. “Everything is evolving,” he explains, “from the types of buildings to the types of buyers.
