Forum 3000 event – Metro Tunnel Update

New Metro Trams for Melbourne
Cardboard Replica now – Reality at Project’s End!

The first Forum 3000 event for Residents 3000 is this coming Thursday 7th February at 6pm. As per normal practice we are pleased to hold events in the convivial surrounds of the Kelvin Club, 14-20 Melbourne Place in the Melbourne CBD.

For this event, we welcome several speakers who will update residents and guests on progress with Mebourne’s biggest infrastructure project ever – the Metro Tunnel. Not only will there be an expanded underground, Melburnians will experience a fleet of new, long, fast trains to move us around effortlessly – making the city efficient and hopefully less crowded on the footpaths.

Confirmed speakers for the event are:

  • Barry McGuren – Rail Projects Victoria
  • Mary Parker – Cross Yarra Partnership
  • Jodie Barrington – Cross Yarra Partnership

Learn about the Tunnel Boring Machines and the arrival of the first in May this year. What is happening underground at the moment? Is the project on schedule? How do the CYP engineers ensure the long term safety and integrity of the sub-surface structures as they are built and for the long term after the project is finished? You will no doubt have many other questions for the panel of speakers.

Come along to learn all you can about this fascinating and ambitious project.
