PARTICIPATE MELBOURNE – Outdoor dining
The City of Melbourne launched a survey on Participate Melbourne as part of the evaluation of the extended outdoor dining program. They would like to understand more about what the residents enjoyed about the program and what they feel we could improve.
Consultation closes on 7 March.
Your feedback will help inform the future of the program and will be considered by Council in March 2021.
PARTICIPATE MELBOURNE – Smoke-Free Melbourne
The City of Melbourne is currently seeking feedback on our draft Towards Smoke-free Melbourne 2025 policy. The draft policy outlines key areas where action needs to be taken to move towards a smoke-free city where everyone can breathe easy. We want ensure people are protected from the harms of second-hand smoke and that people who smoke are supported to quit.

PARTICIPATE MELBOURNE – Reimagining Melbourne’s Maritime Heritage
Help shape a vision for Melbourne’s maritime heritage and the Mission to Seafarers building.
We’re exploring a vision for Melbourne’s maritime heritage in and around Docklands and the Yarra Birrarung River.
As part of this project, we are seeking community feedback to help inform a feasibility study. We want to understand whether community members are interested in a maritime heritage area and how the Mission to Seafarer’s building could contribute to this
Local residents, visitors and workers are invited to inform the thinking, planning and decision making for this project. Take our short survey or share your ideas at participate.melbourne.vic.gov.au/maritime-heritage. This consultation is open until Monday 15 March.
PARTICIPATE MELBOURNE – Community Vision
What do you value about Melbourne? We’re asking you to share your key aspirations for the future of the city to help us refresh our 10 year Community Vision.
The Community Vision is the first step towards informing and aligning the activities, decisions, plans and strategies for everyone who shapes the city.
Since the Community Vision was last updated in 2016, our city has gone through immense change with the COVID-19 pandemic having profoundly affected the economy and the way Melburnians live and work.
In November 2020, a new Council was sworn in. Before the council identifies the key priorities that will form the next four-year council plan, we need to know your aspirations for the future of Melbourne.
We will build on existing input from our community through Future Melbourne 2026, and the COVID-19 Reactivation and Recovery Plan. During March, the City of Melbourne will invite Melburnians to engage in a series of activities designed to foster discussion and identify critical priorities across all neighbourhoods of Melbourne.
